Ice Capades
02:29
|
|||
Round and round I pace figure 8's
like skaters blades on a frozen lake
My feet are sore from splintered floors
That lay the path I'll walk once more.
I'm a penny spinning round for your idle thumbs
Chasing my tail til I come undone
The lessons I've learned don't seem to stick
I'm the same old dog with the same old tricks.
Don't pity this wretch, I've got no regrets
I only remember how to forget
I'm Stubborn as the will of nature's course
& It's the same mistakes I'll make once more.
Still Round & Round I trace my tracks
So long that I'm numb to the ice's cracks
& whether I drown or whether I freeze
The only man to blame is me.

Sugar Cube
02:59
|
|||
Like a grain of sugarcane
trapped inside a cube
I wait for my escape
to disappear, be dissolute
So patiently I wait, all I ever do is wait
Nothing else to do but wait and whistle out this tune
Like the laces in my shoes
Tangled up in knots and loops
All the tassles tightly tied
far too tort to wriggle loose
So patiently I wait, all I ever do is wait
Nothing else to do but wait and whistle out this tune
Like a seed inside a fruit
My companions deaf and mute
I await to hear the claws
Tear the padding from the walls
So patiently I wait, all I ever do is wait
Nothing else to do but wait and whistle out this tune
Like a bowling pin i sit
and watch the rolling cannons miss
As I anticipate the blow
that amputates me from my soul.
So patiently I wait, all I ever do is wait
Nothing else to do but wait and whistle out this tune

Bullets
03:25
|
|||
She was a snake with blood as cold as a neck inside a noose
And she offered me her heart like a piece of rotten fruit
But before I could decline both my hands began to shake
And I was feeding like an addict with a needle in my veins
I should’ve run like a rebel heading for the hills
Instead I swallowed the apple pips like poison pills
I could hear the devil talk to me in tongues
She said “honey we belond, like bullets in the barrel of a gun!”
She took me by the hips and it was trouble from the start
But the poison on her lips was a serum to my heart
So we hid away for days like two villains on the run,
And we ate forbidden fruit ’til our consciences grew numb.
I should’ve run like a rebel heading for the hills
Instead I swallowed the apple pips like poison pills
I could hear the devil talk to me in tongues
She said “honey we belond, like bullets in the barrel of a gun!”

Sa Ta Na Ma
02:45
|
|||
The promises I made
were bonds in liar’s lexicon I always meant to break
Now karma claims my fate
The apologies I made
I basted in formaldehyde but still they all decayed
In Samsara I stay
Sa Ta Na Ma
In revelry I played
Entire disregard for all the harm I could create
Good friends I would betray
In solitude I pray
My blood has turned to bleach and left my alabaster face
My mantra slowly fades
Sa Ta Na Ma

Ugly Joke
02:17
|
|||
I’m a right wing libertine, must be the worst there’s ever been
I’m the sanest lunatic this asylum’s ever seen
I’m not losing my mind, but there’s times when I just scream!
I’m the patient, I’m the doctor and I’m somewhere between.
I’m losing when I’m winning, cos I’m scared I’ll lose it all
I’d take a leap to death if my faith could take the fall.
The world is full of hope, I see its beauty all around
And its all an ugly joke, and we are all its clowns.
I wore a Jesus crucifix ever since I was a kid
And I followed every ism, but none of them quite fit
You could say I’m out of faith, you could say I’m watered down
But nobody’s an atheist when theyre about to drown.
